tiny tumblr

a tiny app that sits in your menubar and shows you the iPhone view of your dashboard, perfect for people who just want to quickly see what’s happening or have a serious tumblr addiction. Note: you may need to right click and hit Reload to see fresh stuff (Made with Fluid)

Update: If the app isn’t appearing in your menubar when you launch hit desktumblr > Convert to Menubar SSB in your menu. Restart app. Done.

I really like this little app. The only thing that I felt let it down was the fact it didn’t auto refresh. However, thanks to Fluids use of Userscripts, I have created a small userscript to refresh the page after a given time. It is called Automatic Page Refresh.

To install the suerscript follow these instructions:

1. Download the script from Userscript.org or from my Dropbox
2. Make sure that tinytumblr is not in MenuExtra SSB. To do so, right mouse click and select “Convert to Normal Application…”
3. Click on the little script icon on the menu bar (3rd from the right)
4. Select “Open Userscript Folder”
5. Copy the downloaded file into the Userscript folder
6. Open the file and change the variable “numberOfMin” to the number of minutes you want to wait between refreshes
7. Click on the script icon and select ‘Automatic Page Refresh’
8. You may need to refresh tinytumblr to get the script to start running
9. To return tinytumblr to a MenuExtra click desktumblr > Convert to MenuExtra SSB
