Good morning from Tokyooo! Ken and I have successfully arrived in Tokyo, found our hostel and
checked in. So far so amazing!
It is very hot in Tokyo. Very. Humid as well. But I am not complaining
at all! We arrived about 1pm Tokyo time to the hostel and after we
sorted ourselves out we went for a wander round. Both of us where
ridiculously tired from not sleeping on the plane but we needed to
push through to at least 6pm to get accustomed to the time. So after speaking to someone in the hostel, we set out for the
Electric City. This is where they sell all the electrical stuff. So
seemed like a good place to start. It was apparently 10 min walk away.
After 25 min of walking we decided that we were lost. Good times. So
we spoke to someone who directed us to the place. By this time I could
just about keep my eyes open so we stopped off in McDonalds for the
largest coke ever and I had a 10min nap while Ken took photos of me
with silly things around.
After the nap we had a look round and it was great. Everything is
really loud. And fast paced. We went to one of the arcades and that
was insane! There was 6 or more floors covered with rows upon rows of
grown men playing computer games to a background of hard beat techno
music. It was bizarre to see. We will prob go back…
Then we went back to the hostel and faffed about till 7pm before
hitting the sack for a good nights sleep. Today we are off the Imperial Palace and have a look at a few temples
and parks and stuff. Oh, and a Sumo Museum. Right after breakfast.
Will try and get some photos up soon. See ya!
