"I’ve wondered, though, if one of the reasons we fail to acknowledge the brilliance of life is because we don’t want the responsibility inherent in the acknowledgement."

"So you don’t have to be holy, skilled or willing to be used by God. Any teaching otherwise goes against scripture. Call me a fundamentalist."

Think of the stories with a happy end
The best stories have suspense, when all seems lost somehow by the skin of their teeth the hero survives, or saves the world , or the girl, but only after all seemed lost. If they just strolled in and everything was a breeze, it’d be … well just boring.
I’d love my life to be more than just another life lived- I’d love to have

Steve read a book all about having a story.  I think it’s Don Miller - you should read it…even though i’ve not read it, i feel like i can recommend it.  Only i can’t remember what it’s called…

A Million Miles In A Thousand Years by Donald Miller.

It is easy to say that every new book you read is your favourite book but this is up there among mine. When I read your post I automatically though you were already reading this book! And if you weren’t, you should!

"I’ve lived some good stories now, and those stories have improved the quality of my life. But I’ve also let go of the idea things will ever be made perfect, at least while I am walking around this planet. I’ve let go of the idea that this life has a climax… When you stop expecting people to be perfect, you can like them for who they are. And when you stop expecting material possesions to complete you, you’d be suprised at how much pleasure you get in material posessions. And when you stop expecting God to end all your troubles, you’d be suprised how much you like spending time with God."
— Donald Miller - A Million Miles in a Thousand Years
"A story involves a person that wants something and is willing to overcome conflict to get it."
