Using Photographs to Enhance Videos of a Static Scene

Facinating!

The work presents a system for automatically producing a wide variety of video enhancements and visual effects. Unlike traditional visual effects software (e.g., After Effects, Shake, Boujou, etc), the system is completely automatic and no manual labor is required from the user

Really impressed with this technology. I’ve seen stuff like this on still photos but using it on video takes it to the next level!

Two words for this roller coaster.

Hell.

No.

This iOS concepts are actually pretty good. I think most concepts are pretty lame but these 4 seem to have legs.

My Blackberry Is Not Working! - The One Ronnie, Preview - BBC One (by BBC)

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: Black Sheep - FULL music video (via Lonesomefolly)

So I’ve become somewhat addicted to the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels (read ‘comic books’). Frankly; they are amazing. Funny, ridiculous and so many geek refrences. They are great.

As I imagine with a number of new fans; I first saw the films before getting the books. The film where this song is from. Which is a great film. Although, I’m not sure I will enjoy it as much now I’ve read the books. I think the characters and the story aren’t as deep as in the book. But what do you expect for a film adaptation.

The story is very, very different too. The books are based over, like, a year period and go into so much more. Like Lisa, the girl who nearly got Scott. And Knives Dad, who nearly cut Scott and Kim in half with a samurai sword. And what actually happened between Scott and Kim.

Anyway, I’ve just finished the 4th Volume, which I started today, and am somewhat tempted to start reading the 5th. But I do like this song. So I thought I’d share it with you.

Merry Christmas from the team at Torchbox

pandycane:

When I was a kid, and was growing up on skateboarding I used to watch loads of videos of Rodney Mullen doing his crazy cool flatland tricks, and we always used to try and copy them, I even had a friends who could ‘rusty slide’ well far - that’s when you flip the board on to the side and stand on the wheels.

When I saw this it bought back loads of memories, nice to see that people still do all the tech stuff.

This guy is insane!

I love the tech stuff too.
